LEMON – Wonder Cure for Cancer?

fruits_food_lemons_1920x1080_34197

A ‘lemon’, in common language, means defective goods.

But contrary to being flawed, #Lemons posses practically miraculous properties. They are the most wrongly named fruit ever! In fact, Lemons are not just a source of Vitamin C…they seem to have the ability to kill #Cancer cells! One study in fact claims they are 10,000 times stronger than chemotherapy!!

It has been established that citrus compounds called limonoids targeted and stopped neuroblastoma cells in the lab. In fact they work against cancer in any of three ways: prevent it from forming, slow the growth of existing cancer, or kill cancer cells.

A major drug manufacturer discovered that the extracts destroyed #malignantcells in 12 cancers, including of the colon, lung, breast, prostate and pancreas. The compounds of this tree showed dramatically better effect than the product #Adriamycin, a drug normally used in #chemotheray the world over, slowing the growth of cancer cells. Plus it does not produce the traumatic #side-effects of chemotherapy.  Significantly this type of therapy with lemon extract only destroys malignant cancer cells and it does not affect healthy cells.

Do tell your friends about how #lemon juice could be beneficial in preventing and fighting the disease. Lemon is a healthy addition to your diet and may even reduce the risk of cancer. Besides, its taste is pleasant, isn’t it?

Zesty Medicine

Apart from this #anti-cancer property, lemon is known to be an anti microbial spectrum – acting effectively against bacterial infections and fungi, as well as internal parasites and worms. It also regulates #bloodpressure and is an #antidepressant and combats #stress and #nervousdisorders as well!

The low pH of juice makes it antibacterial, and in India, the lemon has been used in Indian traditional medicines #Siddha Medicine and #Ayurveda from time immemorial!

Magic Tonic

Lemon peels contain about 5 to 10 times more vitamins than the #lemonjuice itself. Imagine what you’ve been wasting whenever you juice a lemon and discard the #rinds! In fact, Lemon peel is a health rejuvenator, and helps in eradicating toxic elements in the body.

Lemon oil may be used in aromatherapy. Researchers have found that lemon oil aroma enhances your mood.

A great food

Last but not least, lemons add a #tang and zest to a mind-boggling variety of everyday and gourmet food preparations! So, wash those juicy lemons and use them in many ways in food, as pickles, as lemonade, as garnishing, as a drizzle, and let’s not forget the refreshing lemon tea…your whole body will love you for it!
