YOU COULD BE CAUSING YOUR FATIGUE!

From tiredness and anxiety to dizziness and excessive sleepiness, dealing with fatigue on a daily basis can be really hard. Even if you get the required 6-8 hours of sleep every night and have a healthy exercise routine, some of your habits may be the surprising cause of your decreasing energy levels. Take a look at what you’re doing wrong!

FatigueDehydration

Did you know that your blood volume is determined by how hydrated you are? Blood volume is responsible for how efficiently nutrients and oxygen run through your bloodstream. When you’re dehydrated, you experience dizziness and excessive sleepiness. Also, your body gets less fluids and your blood volume reduces. So, even if you’re mildly dehydrated – you could end up feeling fatigued!

Sugar

The next time you need a pick-me-up try not to resort to sugary food, as they lower your energy levels. Refined sugar raises blood sugar levels and when they’re elevated, your body releases insulin. This triggers tryptophan, which is converted to serotonin – the eventual result is fatigue! Increase your intake of vitamins and super foods as you reduce your consumption of sugary foods to avoid vitamin deficiency symptoms and balance your diet. You can start taking antioxidant capsules that contain acai berry, which, unlike sugar, stimulates your immune system, fighting fatigue.

fatiguAlcohol

It may be known as a nightcap, but it isn’t going to help you sleep any better! Drinking alcohol just before you go to bed will help you fall asleep faster as it can lead to excessive sleepiness, but it reduces REM sleep. REM is Rapid Eye Moment – which is when you sleep deeply enough to dream. Not having enough of this sleep elevates the symptoms of fatigue when you wake up.

Technology

If you need to watch that latest television show at night or you can’t ignore a late-night text, be prepared to experience fatigue the next day! The artificial light in devices such as your phone and TV disrupts the production of melatonin, which is a chemical that regulates your sleep cycle.

Skipping breakfast

Even if you’re not hungry, you need to eat a hearty, healthy breakfast. And no, that granola bar doesn’t count. Think about it this way – your body has been devoid of nutrition for at least (if you’re sleeping well!) 6-8 hours. So, it’s no surprise really that skipping the first meal of the day will make you tired through the rest of it. However, make sure that the foods you consume are healthy enough to keep fatigue at bay.

Why is Stevia Better than Other Sweeteners?

The next time you reach for that can of diet soda, think again. It is a proven fact today that diet soda drinkers suffer the same exact health problems as those who opt for regular soda – excessive weight gain, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease and stroke.

The Dangers of Artificial Sweeteners

Many diabetics obediently follow doctors’ orders to switch to diet sodas to manage their condition. Unfortunately, largely due to misleading communication, many doctors and nutritionists themselves are under the illusion that artificial sweeteners are a safe and effective alternative for their diabetic patients.

But scientific evidence shows that artificial sweeteners can be far worse for you than sugar and fructose. This includes aspartame (NutraSweet, Equal), sucralose (Splenda), saccharin(Sweet’N Low), acesulfame potassiumneotame, and others. Aspartame is perhaps the most dangerous of the lot. It worsens insulin sensitivity to a greater degree than sugar. It has been found to cause cancers—leukemia, lymphoma, and other tumors, and it shouldn’t be in the food supply.

Ancient, Natural Wisdom makes life sweeter – The Stevia Story

The only safe sugar substitute is the natural herb, Stevia. Ancient wisdom has proven that it is probably the best and safest sweetener ever.  Kaa-he-e is the original Guarani Indian name for the Stevia herb; originating in Paraguay, this powerful native sweet tradition has spread to other countries world-wide.

What does Stevia give you?

Stevia is one of the most health restoring plants on earth, and 30 times sweeter than sugar. Besides the very sweet lycosides(Steviosides, Rebaudiosides and a Dulcoside), it contains proteins, fiber, carbohydrates, iron, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, sodium, magnesium, zinc, rutin, true vitamin A, Vitamin C and oils containing 53 other constituents.

Stevia Benefits

  • Anti-bacterial
  • Anti-microbial
  • Anti-septic
  • Anti-hypertensive, and
  • Anti-glycemic.
  • It helps treat hypertension, chronic fatigue, diabetes, upset stomach, indigestion, weight loss, heartburn, flu and cold.

In sum, pure unadulterated Stevia is the best and safest sweetener for people with blood sugar, blood pressure or weight problems. You too can enjoy the immeasurable sweetness and goodness of Stevia here.

Much more than a #SugarSubstitute – Blackstrap #Molasses rocks!

Molasses sugar is a dark brown, viscous liquid that’s made in the process of sugar manufacture. When sugarcane and sugar beets are refined till no additional sugar can be crystallized, the residual substance is molasses.

It is ironic that while the toxic and unhealthy refined sugar goes to our supermarket shelves, the highly nutritious molasses is mostly sold as livestock feed! Good for the cows, we say!  But seriously, Molasses has high nutritive and iron content.

Blackstrap Molasses

Today, the value of molasses is becoming better known. This is most true of blackstrap molasses, the highest, thrice-boiled, grade of molasses. Blackstrap has the lowest sugar content, plus higher nutritional content than any other refined sugar.

Molasses is a common ingredient in cooking,  in cakes, cookies, chutneys, pickles and marinades. It is also used in the production of ethyl alcohol.

It has many health benefits:

Safe sweetener for diabetics – Unlike refined sugar, blackstrap molasses has a moderate glycemic load of 55.

Ideal weight-loss diet –  Contains no fat and only 32 calories.

Laxative qualities – Improves regularity and quality of  bowel movements.

High in calcium and magnesium – Its mineral profile aids the growth of bones, a good safeguard against osteoporosis.

It has several other important minerals and is also an antioxidant.
